Dr. Tatyana Mokeyev

Dr. Tatyana is the funniest, most chic dentist I've ever met!  Check out the mini-dress she had on this morning under her lab coat.  What you can't see in this shot, sadly, are the equally kicky pink boots she's sporting today too.

So, if you have to get a new crown (boo), at least you have someone with a sense of humor and some mad dental skillz working on that for ya. She's at Parmer Family Dentistry in case you're an Austinite needing a great dentist.

Me, I'm still numb on my right side so sipping my coffee very carefully and sounding drunk when I talk. Awesome.

my artist's way buddy robin

Every Thursday morning for the past few weeks, the beautiful and and talented Robin and I have had this lovely Artist's Way check-in at Starbucks. It's been great to share the book, our thoughts, our art with one another this way - I feel so lucky to have met her through Plein Air Austin. Check out her beautiful art here: http://www.robincheers.com/

dusky moon

By the time I get out of the office and get Lulu out for a walk, it looks like this.  It's deliciously warm in Austin today.

brunchies with Kristi and Camilla at Galaxy Cafe

There is nothing better than a good heart-to-heart with a kindred spirit.
Also happy to see that Kristi loves her fur person Camilla.

Here are a couple shots of the great tall ceilings here. I think I might ask them about doing the Scrapyard Dog benefit here, if they might be willing to put shelves up. Hmmmm.

this morning needs more than one photo

You know it's going to be an "interesting" day when you see this at your desk first thing...

So, at least this is mitigated by the happy arrival of Taco Deli!

This is particularly appropriate for Convio's "Chicken Day" today.

Crumpet, Woody and Strumpet

Just found out that Julie W, my good friend and Lulu's much-adored dog-sitter in Napa, has adopted Woody and Strumpet, so they are California bound!

worst of 2009???

OK, so this is actually 2 photos today, but I couldn't resist. These are two engineers in my group having a good laugh over Greg (on right) becoming semi-famous with his webcam-captured home robbery earlier this year listed in Austin Monthly's "Worst of 2009." Or was that "Best of"???

Day 3 of Haiti donation site upkeep for IT

On day 3, three more of our hunky monkeys here n IT at Convio. Yes, their eyes may be a tad bloodshot and those coffees more "venti", but their noses are still cold and hearts warm! Lots of work goes into handling the kind of donation traffic we've seen over the past few days in response to Haiti disaster. We host more than 60 organizations helping there.

still keeping Red Cross site alive so MILLIONS of dollars get to Haiti

Here is yet another one of our IT heroes who's been working the long hours to make sure all the donations get to organizations (and thus to Haiti.)

Actually, Convio hosts a long list of organizations rushing relief to Haiti:

Makes me proud to be part of it.

keeping the Red Cross site alive

Here is one of the many great guys in our offices who are burning the midnight oil to make sure that the Red Cross sites can keep receiving donations during the response to the Haiti quake disaster. Unsung heroes!

cutest child on earth

Just could not resist posting this cuteness... Elsa wearing her stylin' new Hanna Andersson dress and tights.

los gatos from jetblue seat 8d

Another lo-fi shot using my iPhone from my early morning flight to San Francisco. I used to live just above this reservoir in Los Gatos. I was actually driving right near here when I heard the news about 9/11 on the radio.
Flight was nice and easy - only about 30 of us onboard so we each got two seats. Sweet.
Amy Teegarden was a few rows behind me, seeming to enjoy just being normal and unnoticed in a cute little red hoodie sweatshirt. I would have loved to tell her how much I love her show, but couldn't bring myself to disturb her morning.

blankie for succulents

Seriously freezing in Austin!! Here are my succulent plants tucked in with a nice fleece blankie.

burnt orange before the big game

Guess what color nearly everyone here at my office is wearing today? All I have with me is my iPhone, so please forgive the lo-fi here.

As ever, jumping Porter's train!

I love the daily photos that my sister Porter has been posting in her new "Project 361" blog and am inspired to follow suit. Or as we may more honestly say, jump her train!

Choo choo, chou chou!
Seriously though, it might be fun to see what photo each of us posts from so far away, what they say about our daily lives and so on. And it seems I take at least one photo a day anyhow! I'm a visual girl.

So! Catch up time.

Here is a photo from January 1 (Friday):

Two "scrapyard dogs" I made to benefit Berkeley Humane.
Photo from January 2 (Saturday):

Lulu and sunny skies above Austin.

Photo from January 3 (Sunday):

A scrapyard dog made for my mom (so please don't send her this blog until after April!) for her birthday. She made a special request for this turtle-design Hawaiian shirt to be part of the doggie.

Photo from January 4 (Monday) :

Came back from holiday vacation to find this wonderful art on my white board, courtesy my friend Melissa's daughter Tara. Awesome!!

For January 5 (Tuesday), I have a bit of a cheat since I don't seem to have taken a "real" photo that day. I did however, take a screen capture of a new drop-down I created. Sad, isn't it?

January 6 (Wednesday)

Finished another scrapyard dog - this time to post on Etsy! Named her "Crumpet."
